Dunkirk DVD

Recognised as one of the great battles of the Second World War - a significant component of the Battle of France on the Western Front - Dunkirk follows the events leading up to Operation Dynamo where the British Army meticulously planned and positioned itself to rescue fellow soldiers and allied troops stranded in Nazi-occupied France.

Telling a complex story of isolation, heroism and sacrifice from the viewpoints of Corporal 'Tubby' Binns and newspaper reporter Charles Foreman, Dunkirk captures the desperation, chaos and camaraderie of wartime. With the Germans rapidly winning the Battle of France and threatening to destroy the Allied Forces nearby Dunkirk, the British Admiralty commandeers all available civilian boats to aid the evacuation, with Foreman considering to pilot his own motorboat and help with the rescue.
